19 Players Out For Penn State Football Against FIU

Penn State’s long list of injuries continues into week two against the FIU Panthers. Although the Nittany Lions have immediate defensive difference makers back in the rotation such as defensive end Zuriah Fisher and cornerback Zion Tracy, Penn State boasts a list of 19 players out against the Panthers.

Max Granville will remain out and is not expected to return during the 2025 season. The redshirt freshman received praise from James Franklin last season, but will have to wait another year to show off his talents. Mason Robinson and Jordan Mayer will also remain out.

Defensive tackle Kaleb Artis will miss his second straight game with an injury sustained last season. When healthy, Artis could carve out a significant role in the defensive line rotation.

For the receivers, Josiah Brown, Kaden Saunders, and Peter Gonzalez will miss their second straight game. Gonzalez has been seen practicing but remains out of the rotation. Brown and Saunders are both battling long-term injuries and are expected to miss the entire 2025 season. Lyrick Samuel will also be out for the Nittany Lions.

As for the corners, Donte Nastasi will sit out for the second straight game. Tracy is a returning starter for the Nittany Lions in the defensive back group.

Quarterback Bekkem Kritza, punter Eagan Boyer, offensive lineman Liam Horan, and offensive lineman Brady O’Hara will also miss their second straight game.
