Penn State Women’s Soccer Moves Up To No. 8 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer moved up to No. 8 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. Despite losing to then-No. 8 Virginia last week, the Nittany Lions moved up a spot on Tuesday after being ranked as No. 9 for two consecutive weeks.

After dropping to No. 14 after losing its season opener to then-No. 4 Duke, Penn State has moved up six spots in the process. Despite losing to now-ranked No. 5 Virginia, the Nittany Lions responded with a dominant 3-0 win over Liberty on Sunday in their final non-conference game ahead of Big Ten play.

Penn State will play its first conference game against Maryland on Thursday, September 11, at 6 p.m. at Jeffrey Field. The game will be streamed on BTN+.
