Penn State Football Drops To No. 3 In Week Five AP Poll

Penn State football fell one spot to No. 3 in the latest AP Poll, the Associated Press announced Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions had their first bye week of the season after a 52-6 win over Villanova in week three. Penn State is the only top-25 team that hasn’t moved in the rankings so far this season.

The Nittany Lions are joined by fellow Big Ten teams, No. 1 Ohio State, No. 6 Oregon, No. 11 Indiana, No. 19 Michigan, No. 21 USC, and No. 23 Illinois.

Penn State returns to action on Saturday, September 27, to take on Oregon in its annual White Out Game at Beaver Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. on NBC. ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Happy Valley for the matchup, broadcasting live at Old Main Lawn from 9 a.m. to noon.
