16 Players Out For Penn State Football Against UCLA

16 Penn State football players will be inactive against UCLA in the Rose Bowl. Headlining the list is linebacker Tony Rojas, who suffered a long-term injury during practice earlier this week.

Kaden Saunders, Lyrick Samuel, Josiah Brown, and Peter Gonzalez remain out from the wide receiver room for the Nittany Lions. No other pass catcher will miss the game. Every tight end is active against the Bruins.

From the quarterback room, Bekkem Kritza will miss the game. It’s his fifth consecutive game out of the lineup. Third-string signal caller Jaxon Smolik is listed as questionable. He was available against Oregon last Saturday. If Smolik were to miss the game, redshirt sophomore Jack Lambert would take over as the third option at quarterback.

Defensive linemen Max Granville, Mason Robinson, Kaleb Artis, and Jordan Mayer remain out for Penn State.

On the offensive side of the trenches, Brady O’Hara and Liam Horan miss their fifth straight game in 2025. Guard J’Ven Williams is also out after being listed as questionable against Oregon. Starter Anthony Donkoh is listed as questionable for the game.

Donte Nastasi is the only defensive back to miss the game against UCLA. He is joined by a linebacker Kari Jackson to round out the 16 inactive players.
