Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Six

It was another demoralizing weekend for Penn State Football.

The Nittany Lions fell to UCLA 42-37 on Saturday, sparking their first losing streak since 2021, when the team went on a three-game skid.

While Penn State dug itself a deeper hole this weekend, a handful of former Penn State football players enjoyed a week of rest with their new teams.

Tyrece Mills, UConn

Former Penn State defensive back Tyrece Mills recorded a solo tackle in UConn’s 51-10 handling of FIU on Saturday.

Omari Evans, Washington

Omari Evans did not record a catch in Washington’s 24-20 victory over Maryland. The former Penn State pass catcher has not recorded a reception since the Huskies’ 24-6 loss to Ohio State on September 27.

Joseph Mupoyi & Smith Vilbert, North Carolina

The pair of former Penn State defensive linemen Joseph Mupoyi and Smith Vilbert got some tread in the Tar Heels’ 38-10 loss to Clemson on Saturday. Vilbert logged three solo tackles, with Mupoyi logging one as well.

Mehki Flowers, Akron

Former Penn State defensive back Mehki Flowers tallied four assisted tackles and a pair of solo tackles in Akron’s 28-22 win over Central Michigan.

Bye Weeks

Notable transfers Beau Pribula, Harrison Wallace III, and Cam Miller did not take the field as Missouri, Ole Miss, and Rutgers all had a week six gap in their schedule.
