Report: Former Penn State Football Tight End Brenton Strange Placed On Injured Reserve By Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars placed former Penn State football tight end Brenton Strange on injured reserve on Tuesday afternoon, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Strange was quietly en route to his most productive season of his young NFL career, tabbing 20 receptions for 204 yards through Jacksonville’s week five Monday Night Football win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He had one catch for 22 yards in the game before exiting with a non-contact injury in the first half. He was quickly ruled out for the second half.
It’s officially a quad injury for Strange, but it likely isn’t season-ending, per NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo. He will miss at least four games.
The Jaguars drafted Strange with the 61st overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s recorded 65 receptions, 650 yards, and three touchdowns through his time in Jacksonville so far.
Strange played 37 games for Penn State from the 2019-20 season to 2022-23. He snagged 70 receptions for 755 yards and 11 touchdowns in Happy Valley with a solid 10.8 yards per catch.
