Penn State Athletics Appoints Jennifer Koebel As Senior Assosciate AD For Finance & Business Operations

Penn State Athletics Director Pat Kraft named Jennifer Koebel as the senior associate athletic director for finance and business on Tuesday morning.

In her role, Koebel will oversee Penn State Athletics’ financial operations, including budget management, strategic planning, financial reporting and analysis, capital projects, and contract proposals.

She previously held the same title with Toledo Athletics, where she worked for 10 years before coming to Happy Valley. At Toledo, she oversaw athletic equipment, licensing, merchandise, and concession operations, along with managing the day-to-day financial and business operations of Toledo’s athletic department.

Koebel will replace Rick Kaluza, a 1986 Penn State graduate who has served in the role since spring 2009. Penn State Athletics announced that, “Kaluza strategically shifts focus into revenue and operational position in changing collegiate landscape.”

Kaluza will support “a multitude of revenue and operationally focused areas, including oversight of the Penn State Golf Courses, Penn State Sport Camps, Pegula Ice Arena, and Oak View Group (OVG),” Penn State Athletics said in a press release.

A 1994 Bowling Green graduate, Koebel served one year as a senior treasury analyst for the University of Toledo and worked at Nu-Tek Steel in its finance department for six years. She earned her MBA in 2006 at Indiana Wesleyan University.
