[Photo Story] 2025 Allen Street Jam

State College was buzzing Monday afternoon as students, alumni, and locals flocked downtown for one of the most lively traditions of the year.

Penn State Homecoming is officially underway, and the week started strong with the annual Allen Street Jam — a downtown block party featuring live music, free food and drinks, lawn games, a dance competition, and the introduction of the Homecoming Court.

Our photographers hit Allen Street to capture all the energy and excitement, despite the heat. Games, music, and laughter filled the street, with fans of all ages enjoying the festivities.

The evening kicked off with food and drink vendors setting the stage for a night full of music and community.

From art to games, families and students alike found plenty of ways to get involved and enjoy the day.

Local bands filled the air with music, drawing crowds to the main stage before the headlining events.

Each corner of the event buzzed with excitement, from the stage to the family activities.

Members of the Homecoming Court made their first appearance, kicking off a week of celebrations.

Four dance teams performed to wrap up the night. Whiplash claimed this year’s title, and the excitement for the rest of Homecoming Week is just beginning.
