Penn State To Host Events For Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Monday, October 13, is Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Even though Penn State students will still be in classes and not taking off for the holiday, the Paul Robeson Cultural Center will be sponsoring events throughout the day for the folks to enjoy on campus.

The Resistance Day Rally will start at noon and will run until 1 p.m. at the HUB Monumental Staircase.

A Hip Hop Workshop with Miss Chief Rocka, co-sponsored by RAM Squad, will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Alumni Hall in the HUB. The event is open to all with registration. To register, folks can use the QR code linked on the Paul Robeson Cultural Center’s Instagram.

The Indigenous Peoples’ Day Joyful Feast will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Alumni Hall in the HUB. The event will feature Onondega Storyteller, Perry Ground, and Miss Chief Rocka. This event is also open to folks who register in advance. The registration is also available using the QR code on the Paul Robeson Cultural Center’s Instagram.
