Four-Star Quarterback Troy Huhn Decommits From Penn State Football

Class of 2026 four-star quarterback Troy Huhn has decommitted from Penn State football, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Huhn committed to the Nittany Lions in June 2024.

Huhn is ranked as the No. 26 player in California, the No. 19 quarterback in the class of 2026, and the No. 258 player in the country, according to the 247 Composite rankings. He was one of 20 quarterbacks across the nation to be named to the Elite 11 Finals in June.

The 6’4″ signal caller from San Marcos, California, leaves Penn State with no quarterback commits in the 2026 recruiting class.

The list of decommitments is growing by the day. All four members of Penn State’s once-stacked class of 2027 have officially decommitted since Friday. Several members of the 2026 class have also reopened their recruitment as Penn State looks to find a permanent successor to Franklin and right the ship.

Huhn holds offers from 20 other teams, including Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon, and Texas. Two weeks before committing to the Nittany Lions last June, he had an unofficial visit to Ohio State.
