Class Of 2026 Three-Star Wide Receiver Lavar Keys Decommits From Penn State Football

Class of 2026 three-star wide receiver Lavar Keys has decommitted from Penn State football following James Franklin’s firing on Sunday, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Keys committed to the Nittany Lions in August 2024.

Keys is Penn State’s fourth decommitment of the day and first of the 2026 recruiting class directly following Franklin’s firing. Khalil Taylor, Gabriel Jenkins, Layton Von Brandt, and Kemon Spell all decommitted from the class of 2027 on Sunday as well.

Keys is tabbed as the No. 20 player in Maryland, No. 115 wide receiver in the class of 2026, and the No. 842 player in the nation, per the 247 Composite rankings.

Keys holds offers from other Big Ten programs, Indiana, Maryland, and Minnesota. He had an official visit to Indiana on June 13.
