[Photo Story] Onward State Takes On Campus Recreation’s Ice Cream Mile

Penn State Campus Recreation’s fourth annual Ice Cream Mile is back, folks!

On Saturday, three Onward State staffers participated once again in Campus Recreation’s Ice Cream Mile. Despite the ups and downs of the challenge they all finished the race in a timely manner.

After getting signed in, our runners needed to warm up before the big race.

Our runners were off to a great start, with Oscar leading the way, followed closely by Noah. Tia, on the other hand, started to fall back.

The hard part began at the ice cream stop. Our runners had to finish their cups before proceeding to the next lap around the course.

Noah eventually overtook Oscar for the lead and continued to build his lead all the way until the end.

Noah snagged first place out of our three runners, finishing in 8:55. Oscar finished close behind with a time of 9:15, and eventually Tia at 10:05.

Unlike last year, the race ended up being fun for everyone!
