Penn State Women’s Hockey Rises To No. 3 In USCHO Poll

Penn State women’s hockey ended its regular season this past week at 29-5, moving up to No. 3 in the USCHO poll — the highest ranking in program history.

The Nittany Lions split their series against the RIT Tigers at home, losing 4-3 in overtime on Friday and winning 4-2 on Saturday.

The team overtook the Minnesota Gophers after receiving 256 points. Penn State has sat behind Minnesota in the polls since rising to No. 4 back in November.

Penn State continues in the Atlantic Hockey America Tournament, where it will face the Syracuse Orange at home at 6 p.m. on February 27 and 3 p.m. on February 28. The series will continue to a third game at 3 p.m. on March 1, if necessary.
