In the second episode of season 13 of Podward State, hosts Ryan Smith and Michael Siroty were joined by Penn State women’s volleyball alumna and current professional volleyball player at League One Volleyball, Houston, Jess Mruzik.
Mruzik chatted with the crew about the ins and outs of her recruiting process, how she fell in love with the game of volleyball, and what brought her to Penn State. She shared how special her time in Happy Valley was, specifically her relationship with head coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley.
The conversation transitioned into Mruzik’s recent success at the professional level and how she has been navigating life post-graduation.
