Penn State Women’s Soccer To Play UCLA In Quarterfinals Of Big Ten Tournament

Penn State women’s soccer’s opponent in the Big Ten Tournament has been set, folks.

After clinching a spot in the Big Ten tournament with a win over Ohio State, the No. 6-seeded Nittany Lions will avoid playing in the first round and will take on No. 3-seeded UCLA in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. The game will take place on Saturday, November 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Folk Field, located at Purdue University. The remaining matches on Decision Sunday have been played, creating this year’s tournament bracket.

This will be the first meeting of the season for the Nittany Lions and Bruins. They last played in last year’s tournament quarterfinal, where Penn State lost 1-0. Penn State finished with the sixth seed, and it gained a first-round bye in this year’s edition of the tournament after having to play in the first round in last year’s tournament.

The first two rounds are set to take place on Folk Field before the semifinals and championship match of the Big Ten Tournament are moved to Energizer Park in St. Louis, Missouri.

The winner of Penn State and UCLA will play the winner of the matchup between No. 2-seeded Michigan State and either No. 10-seeded USC or No. 7-seeded Northwestern in the semifinals on November 6. The other first-round matchup is Illinois vs. Ohio State, with the winner set to take on No. 1-seeded Washington on November 2 as well. The other quarterfinal that has been determined is Iowa vs. Wisconsin.

The first two rounds will be streamed on BTN+ before switching over to the Big Ten Network for the semifinals and championship match.
