[Photo Story] State College Hosts 2025 Halloween Parade

Centre Region Parks and Recreation hosted its 77th annual Halloween Costume Parade on Wednesday evening, stepping off at 7 p.m. from Fraser St.

Families and friends gathered in their best costumes as the community celebrated this special holiday beginning at 6:30. The procession made its way to Memorial Field, where judges evaluated entries in five fun categories: Cutest, Superheroes, Witches and Monsters, Most Unique, and Groups. The celebration wrapped up with candy, cash prizes, and plenty of smiles, thanks to the generosity of the State College Lions Foundation.

Last-minute glitter, hairspray, and laughter filled the air as participants prepped for the parade.

With the parade banner leading the way, little ghosts and superheroes kicked off the night’s festivities.

Parade participants gathered with their groups, ready to represent their categories with pride and creativity.

Brass, drums, and cheers set the tone as the State College High School band led the way.

Families lined the sidewalks, cheering on costumed marchers and snapping photos of the fun.

From a stolen masterpiece to a marching McDonald’s meal, originality was on full display.

Music, motion, and school spirit filled the field as the band played, twirlers dazzled, and cheerleaders energized the crowd.

Happy Halloween!
