Your Official Penn State-Ohio State Drinking Game

It’s officially time for the game of the season that all Penn State fans dread: Ohio State. While we may be holding out hope for Terry Smith and Ethan Grunkemeyer, it can never hurt to spend gameday enjoying drinks with those who matter most.

Whether you’re watching in Columbus, State College, or anywhere in between, let’s make this spooky season matchup a little more tolerable with some drinking games.

  • Wake up early and take a shot. It’s a noon kickoff, be ready to cheer on the boys.
  • Take a shot if you remember why you hate Big Noon Kickoff (Hint: it’s at noon).
  • Take four shots to forget the past four losses; that’s changing this week.
  • If you are still tired from your Halloweekend party from the night before, drink some water.
    • Drink two if you had a little too much last night. You’re going to want to remember this.
  • Gather your friends for a shotgun if someone’s grilling hot dogs for lunch (it’s a noon game after all).
  • Take a shot before noon, and pray that our defense is ready to play.
  • Every time the head coach search is mentioned, take a sip.
  • If you’re from Ohio but cheering for Penn State, take two shots. You earned it.
  • Shotgun a drink if you’re at The Shoe watching the game.
    • Bonus sip if you’re tailgating. You are deep in enemy territory.
  • If you’re still confused about what a Buckeye is, finish your drink. We don’t know what it is either.
  • Take a shot if Penn State scores, because that is always worth celebrating.
  • Take a shot if Penn State forces a three-and-out on defense.
  • If Ethan Grunkemeyer hands the ball off to Kaytron Allen, take a shot and sip your drink.
    • If Allen runs it in for a touchdown, finish your drink.
  • If the game is closer than two touchdowns, take a shot. We have a thriller on our hands.
  • Every time Ohio State scores, take a shot.
  • If the Nittany Lions are up at half, finish your drink and chug a second.
    • Bonus shot if they are up by more than three points.
  • If the Penn State defense gets a big stop, get up and cheer!
    • Take a nice, long drink if they sack Julian Sayin. It’s hard to do, but hopefully the boys get it done.
  • If coach Smith looks stressed, take a shot for him. The job is not easy.
  • If you decide to go home this weekend, take a sip with your family.
    • Bonus sip if you’re happy to eat real food while home.
  • If the Nittany Lions lose, take five shots, because that’s what our losing streak will be.
  • If the Nittany Lions win, start chugging your liquor of choice and sprint downtown. WE ARE SO BACK!

With that, have a great gameday weekend and drink responsibly!
