[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Ohio State

3-5.

Following a bye week, Penn State football hit the road to face No. 1 Ohio State in Columbus. In a blackout at Ohio Stadium, the Nittany Lions fell to the Buckeyes 38-14, marking their fifth consecutive loss of the season.

As always, our photographers were there to capture it all.

The Nittany Lions entered Ohio Stadium early for the noon kickoff.

Drew Allar made his first appearance with the team since his season-ending injury as the other players warmed up.

Switching to their road whites, players practiced before kick-off.

The clock struck noon; it was game time.

After a slow first quarter, Ohio State held a 10-0 lead going midway through the second. To close the gap, Nick Singleton ran three yards to the end zone to put the first points on the board for the Nittany Lions. This was also the first touchdown allowed by Ohio State’s defense in a first half all season.

The Buckeyes answered quickly, scoring on their next drive; however, on their next possession, a forced fumble was scooped up by Chaz Coleman, setting up the Nittany Lions on Ohio State’s 13-yard line.

Following the fumble recovery, the Nittany Lions capitalized quickly, as Kaytron Allen made it into the endzone to put the next points on the board for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions were only trailing three going into the half, down 17-14.

Hi Buddy!

Penn State could not stop Ohio State in the second half. Cheers from Buckeye fans and a not-so-nice rendition of the ‘We Are Penn State’ echoed throughout Ohio Stadium.

The Nittany Lions fell to the Buckeyes, 38–14, marking their ninth consecutive loss in the matchup against Ohio State. Penn State is 0-5 in Big Ten play this season.

The Nittany Lions head back to Happy Valley on Saturday, November 9, in another noon matchup against the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers.
