Penn State Field Hockey’s Sophia Mannino & Madison Tambroni Receive Big Ten Honors

Penn State field hockey seniors Sophia Mannino and Madison Tambroni both earned honors for their final season in Happy Valley. Mannino has been named to the 2025 All-Big Ten Field Hockey second team, with Tambroni earning Penn State field hockey’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

This was Mannino’s final season as a Nittany Lion. She battled injury throughout her career, playing in 13 of Penn State’s 17 games this season. She had one goal and an assist this year, ending her career with a total of 14 points off five goals and four assists with 67 games played.

Tambroni also finished off her final season as a Nittany Lion, playing in 14 of Penn State’s 17 games and recording one assist this year. Tambroni ends her college career with six career assists in 51 games.

The Nittany Lions missed the postseason after they suffered a 4-2 loss to Rutgers, finishing their season with a record of 7-10.
