State College Borough Announces Parking Changes Ahead Of Indiana Game

It’s that time again, folks. With the upcoming football game against Indiana University approaching, the State College Borough has announced parking changes.

Beginning at noon on Friday, November 7, the “no parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.” restriction will be lifted across the borough. The one and two-hour parking limits will also be temporarily lifted this weekend.

All restrictions will return on Monday, November 10, at 2 a.m.

With these accommodations in mind, lawn parking will still be strictly prohibited, and parking meters will be enforced from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.

All the usual Pennsylvania Vehicle Code Violations will stay in effect all weekend. These include:

  • No parking on sidewalks, intersections, or crosswalks
  • No parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection
  • No parking within 30 feet of a stop sign
  • No parking more than 12 inches from the curb
  • No parking against traffic
  • No parking in front of driveways
  • No parking anytime in restricted areas

Any questions about the restrictions being lifted can be directed to the State College Parking Department at (814) 278-4769.

Park smart this weekend, and enjoy a safe (and tow-free) weekend, folks!
