Penn State Things To Wish For On 11/11

It’s 11/11 folks, make a wish!

To many, November 11 is considered the luckiest day of the year. For math lovers and numerologists, the day represents alignment with the universe. This often comes with the interpretation that you should make a wish.

With that in mind, we decided to make a list of Penn State things to wish for on November 11.

Better Wi-Fi

With the amount of money the school brings in every year for tuition, there is no good reason we shouldn’t be able to watch YouTube in the hub.

So many students struggle with the recently implemented Wi-Fi service, eduroam, and find themselves having issues connecting to the internet.

This is more like a cry for help rather than a wish, but one can dream.

A Football Win

This one was inevitable.

Not only would it boost morale for the team, but also for the devoted fanbase that has been backing the Nittany Lions throughout this entire season.

Whether you like how they are playing or not, the team is putting in the effort and has yet to reap the benefits of that.

With every game, it seems Penn State is getting closer to a win. Could it be a wish from the fans that helps the team put in another victory before the season ends? We sure hope so.

Chick-fil-A In The Hub

It was a travesty when Chick-fil-A was removed from the HUB in 2021. I wasn’t fortunate enough to experience the restaurant during its prime, but I know it would be a very popular location on campus to spend your meal plan.

The already existing location on North Atherton Street is always packed; this would truly be a worthwhile wish for faculty and students on campus.

Ban Electric Scooters

There has already been some enforcement of the ban on electric scooters on campus in the past couple of months.

It’s the worst when you are trying to walk to class and you almost get hit by someone on their scooter, or when you are driving around on campus and people decide to ride their scooters in the road and weave in and out of traffic.

This wish would be at the top of my list.

Scheduling Classes In The Morning

This might be a controversial opinion, but we feel that changing the time when we schedule our classes to the morning would be really nice compared to having to stay up until midnight to send your classes to the enrollment cart.

I am not someone who likes to stay up late, and often am asleep before 11 p.m. I know many people who are the same, and I think being able to enroll in our classes at 8 a.m. rather than midnight would be more convenient for many.

This wish is a perfect one for all of my morning people out there.
