Four-Star Athlete David Davis Flips From Penn State Football To North Carolina

Penn State class of 2026 four-star athlete commit David Davis has flipped his commitment to North Carolina, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He committed to the Nittany Lions in March as a three-star recruit.

The Pittsburgh native is ranked as the No. 11 player in Pennsylvania, No. 26 athlete in the class of 2026, and the No. 382 player in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the seventh former 2026 Penn State pledge to find a new home in the aftermath of James Franklin’s firing.

Davis went on an official visit to West Virginia on October 14. North Carolina offered him two days after Franklin’s firing. He ultimately chose to go to the Tar Heels to join head coach Bill Belichick.
