Kaytron Allen & Dani Dennis Sutton Earn Big Ten Weekly Honors

Two Penn State football players have won Big Ten weekly honors for the first time this season. The honors come after Penn State’s win over Michigan State.

Dani Dennis-Sutton was named the Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Week, while Kaytron Allen earned Co-Offensive Player Of The Week, along with Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza.

Denis-Sutton had a great game, tallying two sacks, two tackles for loss, a quarterback hurry, and a blocked punt. His three blocked punts are tied for the program record for the most in a season.

Allen had a career day as well. He finished with 2 rushing touchdowns and 181 yards, his most ever. He did it all on 25 attempts and 7.2 yards per carry. Allen accounted for almost half of the Nittany Lions’ 367 yards and now stands just 138 yards away from Evan Roster’s record for most career rushing yards in Penn State history.

The Nittany Lions look to keep their momentum rolling on Senior Night against Nebraska. The game will take place at Beaver Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m. on November 22. The last home game of the season will be broadcast on NBC.
