Former Penn State Football Commit Kevin Brown Flips To West Virginia

Former Penn State football class of 2026 four-star offensive tackle commit Kevin Brown has committed to West Virginia, he announced on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday afternoon. Brown decommitted from Penn State on Sunday after Penn State beat Michigan State.
Brown committed to Penn State in July 2024 as the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania at the time. The Harrisburg native has since been surpassed by Notre Dame commit Joey O’Brien, but is still the No. 2 player in the state, No. 5 offensive tackle in the class of 2026, and No. 49 player nationally, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.
Brown took an official visit to West Virginia on October 28 and an unofficial visit to Ohio State on November 1.
Penn State has lost 17 total commitments since firing James Franklin, and the 2026 class is now the No. 60 class in the country, per the same metric.
The Nittany Lions still hold a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Marlen Bright. Inside offensive lineman Benjamin Eziuka is also still committed in the 2026 class for Penn State.
