Penn State Football Favorites Over Nebraska In Week 13

One last time at Beaver Stadium, folks.

After snapping its six-game losing streak and retaining the Land-Grant Trophy with a win over Michigan State, Penn State football will play its final home game of the season against Nebraska at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, at Beaver Stadium.

Heading into Saturday, the Nittany Lions are favored at home for the first time since they lost to Northwestern. The opening line against Nebraska is set at -9.5 points in the Nittany Lions’ favor, with the over/under listed at 43.5 points, according to DraftKings. The moneyline favors Penn State at -355, with Nebraska sitting at +280.

Penn State’s win last week kept its hopes alive for a bowl game. Now, the Nittany Lions have to win their last two regular-season games, unless other factors kick in.

Not only did Penn State win for the first time in the Terry Smith era, but they also covered the spread for the second straight week. The Nittany Lions are now 3-7 against the spread, with last week being the first time they covered the spread as the favorite.

Penn State’s defense held the Spartans to 10 points, the lowest number of points since giving up six to Villanova. Penn State has a lot of momentum on its side, especially with the home-field advantage.

As for Nebraska, the team is 4-5-1 against the spread and has a record of 7-3. The Cornhuskers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six contests against the Nittany Lions, according to OddsShark.

The Cornhuskers are set to play their second game with backup quarterback TJ Lateef after the season-ending injury to starting quarterback Dylan Raiola. They beat UCLA last week on the road with Lateef under center.
