Four-Star Offensive Tackle Marlen Bright Flips From Penn State Football To Virginia Tech

Penn State football class of 2026 offensive tackle commit Marlen Bright has flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech, per 247Sports’ Kolby Crawford. Bright committed to the Nittany Lions in July as a three-star recruit and rose to four stars in the following months.

Bright is the No. 7 player in New Jersey, No. 40 offensive tackle in the class of 2026, and the No. 437 player in the nation, per the 247 Composite rankings. He is the second former Penn State 2026 offensive line pledge to flip his commitment to the Hokies, joining three-star Roseby Lubintus.

Bright took an official visit to Washington on November 15. Purdue also showed interest in the DePaul Catholic High School product after he reopened his recruitment following James Franklin’s firing.
