24 Players Out For Penn State Football Against Rutgers

Twenty-four players are listed as out for Penn State football’s matchup against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Penn State also had 24 players out against Nebraska, the team’s most of the 2025 season.

Quarterback Drew Allar is on the list again after he suffered a season-ending injury against Northwestern. Jaxon Smolik is also out after leaving the Iowa game early. Bekkem Kritza will be unavailable, probably leaving backup quarterback duties to Liam Clifford.

For the wide receivers, Josiah Brown, Kaden Saunders, Peter Gonzalez, and Matt Outten remain out for Penn State. Jabree Coleman will not play at the running back position.

On the offensive line, Brady O’Hara, Caleb Brewer, and Liam Horan are out.

On defense, Max Granville, Mason Robinson, Kaleb Artis, and Jordan Mayer remain out for the Nittany Lions. For the linebackers, Anthony Speca, Jackson Pryts, and Tony Rojas remain out.

Defensive backs Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, Donte Nastasi, and Lamont Payne Jr. will miss action. On the defensive line, Bobby Mears, Mylachi Williams, and Daniel Jennings will miss the Rutgers game.
