Four-Star Defensive End Tyson Harley Flips From Penn State Football To Virginia Tech

Penn State class of 2026 four-star defensive end commit Tyson Harley has flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. The 6’4″, 215-pound defensive end first committed to the Nittany Lions in early July.
The Gonzaga College High School product is currently ranked as the No. 2 player in Washington D.C., the No. 26 edge rusher in the class of 2026, and the No. 262 player in the nation, according to the 247 Composite rankings.
In his junior season of high school ball, he recorded 30 total tackles and 11 tackles-for-loss in just six games, according to his MaxPreps profile.
Harley took official visits to Rutgers, Michigan State, Maryland, and Virginia Tech before committing to Penn State. He ends up in Blacksburg, Virginia.
