Four-Star Linebacker Terry Wiggins Flips From Penn State Football To Virginia Tech

Penn State football class of 2026 four-star linebacker commit Terry Wiggins has flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech, he announced live on CBS Sports College Football’s YouTube signing day stream Wednesday afternoon. Wiggins committed to Penn State in early May and reopened his recruitment following James Franklin’s firing.
The 6’3″, 205-pound senior out of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, is ranked as the No. 6 player in the state, No. 11 linebacker in the class of 2026, and No. 189 player overall, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class was ranked No. 7 in the country at the time of his commitment, per the same metric. The Nittany Lions are down to two commitments and have the 144th-ranked class following Wiggins’ flip.
Wiggins took official visits to West Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado in November. He ultimately ends up with James Franklin in Blacksburg.
