Why Jackson Ford & Peyton Falzone Will Save Penn State Football

Penn State football has had a busy week. The highlight for many is the hiring of new head coach Matt Campbell. However, I’m here to tell you that the truly significant moment of the week was the signing of two players who will lead us to the promised land: Jackson Ford and Peyton Falzone.

Ford and Falzone were the only recruits to sign with Penn State football on early signing day, December 3. It’s important to remember that quality is always better than quantity, and these studs will prove themselves as the only players the Nittany Lions need in the class of 2026.

Ford was the first of Penn State’s two saviors to sign. This edge rusher out of Malvern Prep will be the next in line of Penn State’s long list of historic defensive players. As a top ten player in the state of Pennsylvania, he’s proven enough that we didn’t even need to sign anyone else on defense; he’s all Jim Knowles needs to have an elite defense until 2028.

As Brian Cushing once said, “I’ll go out by myself, I’ll do it, seriously. One verse 11, I like my odds.”

As for Falzone, flipping from Auburn to Penn State will be the best decision he’ll ever make. Some anonymous experts are already predicting he will be the greatest college quarterback of all time, and will be the first Penn State Heisman since John Capelletti.

Signing just two recruits may seem like a bad move for the Nittany Lions, but those who think this is anything other than a stroke of genius are mistaken. Ford and Falzone are generational talents who can revitalize the program single-handedly.

These heroes are all Penn State needs to run the table for the next three years. Signing any more players would simply be unfair to any other teams. Pat Kraft did the rest of the nation a favor by giving them a chance.

In a few years, people will look back on this recruiting class as the moment when Penn State became a dynasty. With these two recruits, Penn State football will rise to glory again, start planning the parade — or three of them.
