Report: Former Penn State Football Star Micah Parsons Expected To Miss Remainder Of NFL Season With Torn ACL

Former Penn State football star Micah Parsons appears to have suffered a torn ACL in the third quarter of the Green Bay Packers’ week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos, per Ian Rapoport. He will miss the remainder of the 2025 NFL season if tests confirm the torn ACL.
Parsons maneuvered inside of Broncos offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey on a rush towards quarterback Bo Nix. He took an awkward step and immediately grabbed his left knee before falling to the ground. He walked to the locker room with the assistance of Packers athletic trainers.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said postgame that Parsons’ injury “doesn’t look good.” Further tests will later confirm the diagnosis.
Parsons was traded to Green Bay from the Dallas Cowboys just before the start of the season in a blockbuster deal that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The two-time first-team All-Pro was on pace to break his own single-season sack record in 2025 with 12.5 through 13 games. His career high is 14 in 2023.
Parsons donned the blue and white for two years in 2018 and 2019. He recorded 192 tackles, 19 tackles-for-loss, 6.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles. The Cowboys selected him with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
