Your Official Guide To Yankee Stadium For The Pinstripe Bowl

Cue up Frank Sinatra, it’s almost time for the Pinstripe Bowl!
On December 27, Penn State will face Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York. This will mark the second time Penn State has appeared in the Pinstripe Bowl in its 15-year run.
Whether you’re a Penn State fan visiting for the first time or a diehard Yankees fan, there’s something for everyone at baseball’s cathedral.
Food
One of the best parts of Yankee Stadium is the diverse food options inside. One of the most popular choices during the baseball season is the 99 Burger, named for Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge. The burger features two 4 oz. American Wagyu beef patties, American cheese, caramelized onions, secret sauce, and dill pickles on a brioche bun.
Another popular option is Lobel’s, a New York City butcher shop with a location within the stadium. Some menu items include the meatloaf burger, the prime pastrami sandwich, and the famous USDA prime steak sandwich.
Some other popular stands in the stadium include Bobby’s Burgers, the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Chickie and Pete’s, and King’s Hawaiian. You can also find chains like Benihana, Nathan’s Famous, and Sabrett’s in the food court on the first level. If a sit-down meal seems like a better option, the Hard Rock Cafe is located right inside the stadium gates.
If you’re looking for something a little sweeter, Yankee Stadium also offers milkshakes served in a souvenir cup, Blue Bunny ice cream, and Mister Softee ice cream at various stands on all levels.
Drinks
If you’re looking for a unique drink during the game, you can find signature cocktails around the stadium at most bars and kiosks. Some of the signature drinks include the Bronxtail (vodka, blueberry liqueur, lemonade), the Ginfielder (gin, lime juice, cucumber, mint), the Bleacher Preacher (peach bourbon, sweet tea, lemon), and the Aspen Espresso Martini (Aspen vodka, coffee liqueur, cold brew coffee).
Several carts and kiosks around the stadium will also sell standard beers and seltzers. If you’re sitting in the bleachers, be sure to get your drinks before the start of the second half, when they cut off alcohol sales. If you’re anywhere else in the stadium, alcohol sales will close at the conclusion of the third quarter.
If you’re looking for a drink before or after you’re in the stadium, check out Stan’s or Billy’s on River Ave across from the stadium. Both bars are home to large crowds during the baseball season, and are sure to be crowded for the Pinstripe Bowl as well. For a more upbeat vibe, head to Billy’s. If you’re looking for a slower, pub-like vibe, go to Stan’s.
Activities
If you’re looking for something else to do before the game starts, Yankee Stadium has quite a few activities for you to check out before you head to your seat.
One of the most iconic areas of the stadium is Monument Park. Located in center field, Monument Park is completely dedicated to the history of the most iconic players to don the Yankees uniform. In this area, you’ll find number plaques dedicated to players like Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter, as well as monuments for former players and coaches along the back wall. Monument Park will open with the stadium and stay open until 45 minutes before the game starts.
If you’re looking for something indoors to escape the cold, the Yankees Museum is a great place to go. Located on the second level of the stadium, the museum holds memorabilia from iconic players and team moments. Inside, you’ll find a wall of baseballs signed by Yankees who made Opening Day rosters over the years, and World Series rings and trophies.
The Pinstripe Bowl will kick off at noon on Saturday, December 27. For folks not making the trip to Yankee Stadium, the game will be broadcast on ABC.
