Former Iowa State defensive lineman Alijah Carnell has committed to transfer to Penn State football, he announced Sunday night. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Carnell, a Las Vegas, Nevada, native, was a former three-star recruit in the class of 2024. He was ranked as the No. 13 player in Nevada and the No. 220 defensive lineman in the nation, per the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

In his two seasons with the Cyclones, Carnell appeared in seven games, totaling eight tackles and half a sack.

The 6’5″, 290-pound defender is the first defensive lineman to join Penn State from the portal, and the 15th player from Iowa State.
