Report: Three-Star Wide Receiver Josiah Zayas Flips Commitment To Penn State Football

Three-star wide receiver Josiah Zayas has flipped his commitment to Penn State football, according to Ryan Snyder from On3 Sports. He was released from his signing with Iowa State.

Zayas is a three-star recruit out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Piscataway Township. The New Jersey native is ranked as the No. 19 prospect in the state and the No. 127 wide receiver per 247Sports’ Composite rankings, although he has seen action at the defensive back and cornerback positions.

The 6’2″ incoming freshman committed to Iowa State in July, after decommitting from Syracuse in March, and now joins Penn State. In high school, Zayas has totaled 93 receptions for 1,784 yards and 26 touchdowns at receiver and 67 tackles, five tackles for loss, and nine interceptions at defensive back.

Zayas is the twelfth commitment of the 2026 class as he joins Matt Campbell and the Nittany Lions.
