Former Iowa State Wide Receiver Zay Robinson Transfers To Penn State Football

Three-star former Iowa State wide receiver Zay Robinson has committed to transfer to Penn State football, he announced Monday afternoon.

Robinson is tabbed as the No. 126 wideout and No. 702 player in the transfer portal, per 247Sports’ transfer rankings. The former Cyclone only appeared in three games in his 2025 freshman campaign, reeling in one reception for zero yards against Oklahoma State in November and one kick return for four yards against BYU in October.

The West Des Moines, Iowa, native was the No. 12 wide receiver in the state and No. 148 player in the class of 2025 as a recruit, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Robinson is the fourth former Iowa State wideout to follow Matt Campbell to Penn State, joining Karon Brookins, Brett Eskildsen, and Chase Sowell.
