Former Penn State Football Defensive End Zuriah Fisher Transfers To USC

Former Penn State defensive end Zuriah Fisher is transferring to USC, he announced on social media on Tuesday. He is expected to have one year of eligibility remaining.

Fisher, who will apply for a medical redshirt to obtain a seventh year of eligibility, arrived at Penn State as a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020, being ranked as the No. 173 recruit in the nation and No. 3 in Pennsylvania out of Aliquippa. He picked the Nittany Lions over Michigan State, committing in September 2019.

His career has been marred by injury, costing him all but two games in 2022 and the entire 2024 season. He had 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in 35 career games, although most of his production came in 2023 and 2025. He departed the program before the Pinstripe Bowl.

While Matt Campbell was able to poach USC defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn away from the Trojans, Fisher will head out west.
