Penn State Football Assistant Director For Athletic Performance Jeff Earls Leaves For Virginia Tech

After spending nearly seven years in Happy Valley, Jeff Earls will depart for Blacksburg, Virginia, for a similar job as Assistant Director of Football Performance at Virginia Tech, he announced on X Wednesday evening.

James Franklin had previously hired Earls to his Penn State staff in 2019 as an Assistant Director for Athletic Performance.

Before arriving in State College, Earls was an integral part of the strength and conditioning staffs at Texas Tech, Tulane, Purdue, Texas, and LSU. He also worked in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns.

Earls will now turn to his first role in the ACC, moving south to join his former boss, Franklin, with the Hokies.
