Penn State Football Legend Ki-Jana Carter Elected To 2026 College Football Hall Of Fame Class

Former Penn State football running back Ki-Jana Carter was named to the College Football Hall of Fame’s 2026 class, the National Football Foundation announced Wednesday afternoon.

As the 28th Nittany Lion in the Hall, Carter joins the likes of John Cappelletti, Kerry Collins, LaVar Arrington, and, most recently, Paul Posluzny.

Carter’s career still stands one of the best running back careers in college football history, capping it off with his 1994 season. He rushed for 1,539 yards and scored 23 touchdowns on a stellar 7.8 yards per carry.

Carter earned consensus All-America honors and finished second in Heisman voting while leading Penn State to an undefeated season. He ended the season with a dominant Rose Bowl performance to land him a spot in the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame. He was drafted first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1995 NFL Draft.

Defensive end Courtney Brown was also on the ballot, but was not named the to the 2026 class.

The 2026 class induction is set to take place on December 6, 2026, in Las Vegas at the 68th NFF Annual Awards Dinner.
