Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Ranked No. 7 In Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll

Penn State men’s lacrosse earned a No. 7 ranking in Inside Lacrosse’s Preseason Poll on Tuesday ahead of the 2026 season.

In the poll, the Nittany Lions are the second-highest-ranked team in the Big Ten behind No. 1 Maryland. Ohio State trails close behind at No. 10. Johns Hopkins, Rutgers, and Michigan also fall within the top-20 at No. 15, No. 18, and No. 20, respectively.

Penn State is coming off a 12-5 season and a Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament, where the team lost in nail-biting fashion to Cornell, the eventual champion.

The Nittany Lions will open the season in front of their home crowd on February 1, when they take on Colgate at Panzer Stadium. The game is set to start at noon and will air on Big Ten Plus.
