State College Area High School’s Jake Lukac Commits To Penn State Football As Preferred Walk-On

Class of 2026 preferred walk-on Jake Lukac has committed to Penn State football, he announced Wednesday. Lukac is a hometown kid from State College, Pennsylvania, who played linebacker, edge, and tight end during his time with the Little Lions.

Lukac recorded 20 receptions during the 2025 season, tallying 165 yards and four touchdowns. He also accounted for 24 total tackles on the defensive side of the ball, in addition to 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery, per his MaxPreps profile.

In addition to football, Lukac also plays lacrosse at the high school varsity level. The two-way player and multi-sport athlete is the son of former Penn State tight end Mike Lukac, who played in Happy Valley from 1999 to 2003.
