Two Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Players Awarded Preseason All-American Honors

Penn State men’s lacrosse received two preseason All-American recognitions, USA Lacrosse announced Tuesday.

Sophomore midfielder Hunter Aquino and senior defenseman Alex Ross were both selected to the USA Lacrosse All-American Third Team.

Midfielder Aquino enters his second year as a Nittany Lion after becoming a six-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week recipient last season. In his freshman season, Aquino recorded 16 goals and 21 assists, ranking him second in the Big Ten in assists per game. He sealed off his rookie season, earning the title of Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

On the defensive end, Ross enters his senior season after causing 24 turnovers and recording 31 ground balls, which contributed to his All-Big Ten Second Team honors last year.

The two newly named All-Americans will join the Nittany Lions to open the 2026 season against Colgate on February 1 at Panzer Stadium.
