Three-Star Running Back Amar’e Glover Commits To Penn State Football As Preferred Walk-On

Class of 2026 three-star running back Amar’e Glover has committed to Penn State football as a preferred walk-on, he announced on social media Friday.

The Middletown, Delaware, native comes from the same high school as Penn State alum and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin. He’s ranked as the No. 64 running back and No. 4 player from Delaware in the class, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

Glover showed consistent interest in Penn State throughout the recruiting process, frequently visiting campus while James Franklin was still head coach, but wasn’t given an official scholarship offer. He picked up offers from Syracuse, Duke, UConn, Maryland, and Virginia Tech along the way, but elected to take a preferred walk-on offer from Matt Campbell’s new staff.
