Penn State Men’s Hockey Announces White Out Against Michigan State At Beaver Stadium

A winter White Out has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

From the moment it was announced in August that Penn State men’s hockey would play in Beaver Stadium, it was assumed that the powers that be would call for a White Out to maximize the atmosphere.

And that’s exactly what will happen. In the aftermath of State College receiving over a foot of snow in a weekend snowstorm that cancelled classes on Monday, Beaver Stadium will add a whole new layer of white for Saturday’s highly-anticipated hockey game, as the team announced a “Wear White” game against the Spartans.

The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, and will conclude a blockbuster, top-five weekend series between the Nittany Lions and No. 2 Michigan State, which kicks off on Friday night at Pegula Ice Arena. Over 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the event, but many still remain on sale here. The team will also be wearing special uniforms for the event.

The club hockey team will also be playing at Beaver Stadium on Thursday night against Oklahoma State, while the women’s team faces Robert Morris on Friday afternoon.
