Penn State Men’s Volleyball Drops To No. 14 In AVCA Poll

Fell a few steps off the ladder.

After suffering their first two losses of the season, Penn State men’s volleyball dropped in AVCA’s national men’s volleyball poll to 14 after being ranked No. 10 in the previous week’s ranking.

The Nittany Lions entered this past weekend 4-0, en route to No. 15 McKendree for a two-game series. Friday night’s match resulted in a 0-3 sweep, and Saturday’s 1-3 finish both favored the Bearcats.

In its four prior matches, Penn State had only lost two sets, one of which was against the No. 9-ranked Lewis Flyers.

The blue and white will be back in action this weekend at Rec Hall as they take on Hawai’i University. Friday’s White Out match will begin at 6 PM, and Saturday’s match will start at 5 p.m.
