Your Hockey At Beaver Stadium Forecast

Bundle up, Penn Staters.

If you’re planning on attending the men’s hockey game against Michigan State this Saturday, prepare for some seriously cold conditions in Happy Valley.

Saturday morning temperatures are expected to stay around 8°, with 10 mph wind gusts making it feel closer to 2°. Don’t rely on the sun to warm things up either, as cloud cover is expected to sit around 72%. The good news? There’s only an 18% chance of precipitation, so don’t worry about another snowstorm.

By puck drop at 1 p.m., temperatures will slightly rise to around 16°, though the real feel will still be closer to 5°. Cloudy skies will continue to stick around at Beaver Stadium, with 74% cloud cover, and wind gusts could reach up to 12 mph, according to AccuWeather. There’s a 21% chance of precipitation, but the odds of true “White Out conditions” remain low.

Regardless of the temperatures, the action on the ice should be worth braving the cold.

The Nittany Lions will take on No. 2 Michigan State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 31. Tickets are still available here.
