Your Guide To State College’s 2026 Valentine’s Day Events

Love is in the air, folks, and thankfully, so is a packed weekend calendar. Whether you’re celebrating with a long-term partner, a fresh Hinge match, your best friends, or just treating yourself, there’s no shortage of ways to make Valentine’s Day feel a little more special. So grab your calendar and maybe some chocolate and flowers while you’re at it, and check out everything happening around town this weekend.

Crafts & Cocktails: Valentine’s Edition – February 11, 6 p.m. @ the Discovery Space

This event is for my 21+ friends. An adults-only night of crafts, sips, and socializing at the Discovery Space. The night will feature station-based activities and craft beverages throughout the science center and makerspace. You’ll receive a punch card to use throughout the evening for activities of your choice. Mingle, sip, and craft at your own pace. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased through their website.

Valentine’s Goat Social – February 12, 6:30 p.m. @ Nittany Meadow Farm

If your ideal Valentine’s plans involve baby goats instead of candlelight, Nittany Meadow Farm has you covered. Guests are invited to bring a Valentine, friends, family, or just themselves for an hour of cuddling and hanging out with the farm’s sweet baby goats. It’s a low-key, wholesome way to celebrate, and honestly, probably way cuter than dinner reservations. Tickets are available through their event page.

Penn State Wrestling vs. Ohio State – February 13, 7 p.m. @ The Bryce Jordan Center

Not really the candlelight dinner type? Say less. If your ideal date night involves takedowns instead of table settings, head to the Bryce Jordan Center to watch Penn State Wrestling take on Ohio State. There’s something undeniably fun about bundling up in your basic blues, losing your voice, and bonding over a little Big Ten rivalry. Nothing says romance quite like celebrating a win over Ohio State.

Wine & Chocolate Pairing – February 13–15, 12 p.m. @ Mount Nittany Winery

Nothing says Valentine’s weekend quite like wine and chocolate. Mount Nittany Winery is hosting special wine and chocolate pairings all weekend long, featuring their award-winning wines matched with sweets from Asher’s Chocolates. It’s an easy, low-pressure date idea, or a great excuse to gather a group of friends and split a few tastings. Stop by Friday through Sunday during special event hours to sip, snack, and take in the views of Centre Hall. Tickets are $25 per person and available through their website.

Galentine’s Bingo with Beth – February 13, 5 p.m. @ Mount Nittany Winery

If your Valentine’s plans lean more toward “girls’ night” than “wine and chocolate pairing,” this one’s for you. Head back to Mount Nittany Winery for an evening of bingo, wine, and a little friendly competition. Your $10 ticket includes a glass of wine and two bingo cards, and each round winner walks away with a small gift certificate for more wine. Not a bad deal. Bring your own snacks or grab a charcuterie board while you play. A reservation can be made here.

Love BFT – February 14 @ Downtown Bellefonte

Downtown Bellefonte is spreading the love all day long with specials and events centered around local small businesses. Shops like Monarch Boutique are hosting Valentine’s celebrations, including giveaways like complimentary jewelry with purchases and pop-up photo opportunities. If you’re in the mood to shop, stroll, and support local, this makes for an easy daytime outing. Think less formal date, more cozy small-town main street energy with a trip to Bellefonte.

Art, Taste & The Senses: An Arboretum & Palmer Valentine’s Day – February 14, 12 p.m. @ Palmer Museum of Art

If you’re looking for something a little more artsy (and free), the Palmer Museum right here on campus has you covered. This collaborative event with The Arboretum invites guests to explore art through sensory experiences, including gallery tours and hands-on Valentine’s crafts. You can wander through exhibits, make something creative, and enjoy a quieter, more reflective way to celebrate the day, either solo or with someone you love. Did we mention it’s free?

When Harry Met Sally – February 14, 8 p.m. @ The State Theatre

A Valentine’s classic on the big screen just feels right. The State Theatre is screening When Harry Met Sally for a special Valentine’s showing with reserved seating. There’s even a “Night at the Movies for Two” bundle with concessions, plus the chance to share a message or photo on the theater screen. It’s cozy, nostalgic, and about as foolproof a date as you can get. Tickets can be purchased online.
