No. 1 Penn State Wrestling Clinches Sixth-Consecutive Big Ten Regular Season Title

Penn State wrestling is inevitable, folks.

With a 36-5 win over No. 2 Ohio State at the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday, No. 1 Penn State wrestling has won its sixth-straight Big Ten regular-season title.

It also marks the 12th regular-season championship in head coach Cael Sanderson’s tenure at Penn State, and his 10th in 11 years.

The Nittany Lions have now won an NCAA record 85 consecutive dual matches, winning each Big Ten regular season title since their last loss six years ago.

Penn State wrestling will look to carry the momentum to a Big Ten tournament victory in early March. It would be the team’s fourth straight Big Ten title if they prevail.

Before then, Penn State will conclude its regular season by hosting Princeton at Rec Hall. The dual is scheduled for Friday, February 20, with the match starting at 7 p.m. It will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
