Penn State To Host Let’s Dance Movement Workshop February 17

Eisenhower Auditorium is bringing the energy with a dance workshop designed for people of all ages and abilities on Tuesday, February 17, with the Let’s Dance Movement Workshop.

Set for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the free event invites attendees to sing, dance, and learn choreography alongside performers from the For Good Troupe, directed by Krista Wilkinson. The troupe will perform excerpts from some of their favorite musical theater productions before handing things over to Penn State Professor of Dance, Michele Dunleavy, who will lead participants through choreography that promises to be equal parts approachable and entertaining.

The workshop is designed to be welcoming for everyone, so attendees are encouraged to simply show up in loose, comfortable clothing and be ready to move.

Accessibility is also a priority for the event. ASL interpretation, captioning, wheelchair access, and inclusive practices for neurodiverse participants will be available. Anyone interested in additional accommodations can reach out to Kelly Kaiserian via email at [email protected] or by phone at 814-863-7101.

The hour-long workshop is free, but registration is required. Parking details will be shared with registrants closer to the event date. Guests can also use the drop-off entrance located at the corner of Shortlidge and Eisenhower roads.

Registration for the event is first-come, first-served.
