Report: Penn State Football Expected To Hire Colorado State’s Kashif Moore As Wide Receivers Coach

Penn State football is expected to hire Colorado State’s Kashif Moore as the team’s wide receiver coach, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
Moore, a Burlington, New Jersey, native, played three years at UConn from 2008-11, accumulating 126 receptions, 1,699 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. After college, Moore made stops in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
He began his coaching career as a player development assistant at Wesleyan University in 2020 before moving to Cornell University to serve as running backs coach. Moore made another stop at the University of Albany before returning to his alma mater in 2023 to coach wide receivers under Jim Mora.
Moore spent three seasons coaching at UConn, his most notable product being Skyler Bell, who was a Biletnikoff Award finalist in 2025. Bell totaled 101 receptions, 1,278 yards, and 13 touchdowns in his senior season. In December, Moore followed Mora to Colorado State University, but now heads back up north to join Matt Campbell’s staff.
The 37-year-old will replace Noah Pauley, who came to Happy Valley from Iowa State with Campbell, but recently took the same role with the Green Bay Packers on February 5.
Moore inherits a wide receiver room that includes Koby Howard, Lyrick Samuel, Peter Gonzalez, and Keith Jones on top of Iowa State transfers Chase Sowell, Brett Eskildsen, and Zay Robinson.
