Where Do Nittany Lions Land In Post-Super Bowl NFL Mock Drafts?

With the NFL season officially coming to a close, experts have their eyes set on the upcoming draft. Several Nittany Lions are set to have their names called when the draft takes place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a couple of months. Before the combine and pro days shake things up, let’s see where Penn Staters stand right now regarding the draft.

Field Yates (ESPN)

In his latest first-round mock, Field Yates predicts Penn State guard Vega Ioane as the lone Nittany Lion to be taken in the top-32. He mocks the Los Angeles Chargers taking him at the No. 22 pick. Ioane makes sense for the Chargers, who are in desperate need of bolstering their offensive line, especially in the interior, to protect Justin Herbert.

“[Ioane is] a no-nonsense, rugged guard who is perhaps the most physical offensive player in this class,” Yates writes.

In a three-round mock draft, PFF has four Penn Staters landing in the first 100 picks. While also predicting Ioane to the Chargers, they have the Colts selecting quarterback Drew Allar in the third round. Allar’s stock took a severe drop after suffering a season-ending ankle injury during the first half of the 2025 season. PFF has the Chargers selecting two Nittany Lions, the second of which is Dani Dennis-Sutton at pick No. 86. Finally, Zakee Wheatley lands in Jacksonville, where he would reunite with former teammates Parker Washington and Brenton Strange.

Chad Reuter (NFL Network)

Chad Reuter has five Nittany Lions picked in the top three rounds in his most recent mock draft. In the first round, he anticipates the Detroit Lions drafting Ioane at seventeenth overall.

“Ioane’s power should keep Jared Goff happy and open up holes for the Lions’ run game,” Reuter says.

In the third round, he predicts four more Penn Staters being selected. The first of which is standout running back and program rushing leader Kaytron Allen. Reuter foresees Allen being drafted by the Chiefs. Just two picks later, at No. 76, he has the Steelers keeping Allar in Pennsylvania as the quarterback of the future in Pittsburgh.

The Bears would add another alum to their defense by drafting Dennis-Sutton. He would join former Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker in Chicago. Squeezing in the top 100 at No. 93 is Zakee Wheatley, being picked up by the Rams.

Josh Edwards (CBS Sports)

Ioane is the first interior offensive lineman off the board in a first-round mock made by Josh Edwards of CBS Sports. He’s predicted to be drafted by the Baltimore Ravens at pick No. 14.

“He is big, powerful, and can grind down the opposition in the rugged AFC North,” Edwards writes.

Ioane would help strengthen Baltimore’s offensive line, which struggled last year, allowing 45 sacks. The All-American didn’t give up a sack in each of his last two seasons in blue and white.
